Terms and Conditions of Visiting Appointments*

 

 

This sets forth the standard terms and conditions upon which visiting scholars and researchers are customarily permitted to participate in the academic community of Princeton University. 

 

In particular, your appointment at Princeton requires that you follow the University’s general rules of conduct (as defined in Rights, Rules and Responsibilities (a link to the latest copy may be found under http://www.princeton.edu/pr/pub/rrr/) and in the Rules and Procedures of the Professional Research and Technical Staffs of Princeton University (available from the appointing department or program) and, to the fullest extent possible, the University’s guidelines governing academic freedom and the use and ownership of intellectual property (as defined in the Guide to Intellectual Property at Princeton University (http://www.princeton.edu/patents/intelprop.htm )). 

 

Visitors must remain fully employed outside the University and must inform their outside employers of the terms and conditions of this appointment.  Visitors must also assume full legal responsibility for their conduct while at the University. Princeton reserves the right to withdraw this appointment should these terms and conditions not be met.
