Kurland/David Scholarship at the Courtauld Institute of Art

Princeton can nominate one student per year for the Kurland/David Scholarship, a new scholarship which provides tuition for a full year of study at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. It is open to rising juniors for a junior year abroad, or graduating seniors for a year of postgraduate work in the Courtauld’s Masters program. The ideal candidate should have at least a 3.5 grade point average, a serious interest in art history, foreign language skills, and a desire to study in London. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation, an official transcript, a sample of written work, and the application form. The application must be submitted to the departmental representative by November 15, and is then due in 406 West College by December 1, 2006. The grant does not cover the costs of housing, board, and personal expenses, which are estimated at £10,712 for the year.
