1.)
What are my payment options?

Princeton bills on a terms basis: the fall portion is typically due by August 17 and the spring by January 17. Late fees will apply after this due date. Exceptions are not made for late or pending aid/loan awards. To pay on monthly basis, Princeton offers a short-term (repayment over 12 month) installment plan called the Monthly Payment Plan, and a long-term (repayment over 14 years if a freshman) loan program called the Princeton Parent Loan program.

2.)
What happens if I do not pay on time?

All payments are expected to be timely. Late accounts will be subject to interest penalties. Non-payment can also affect registration privileges and the student’s continued enrollment.

3.)
When do I see private scholarships on my Student Account?

Students who do not receive financial aid through Princeton’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Office can receive advance credit for outside scholarships by identifying these awards on the Scholarship Information Sheet. The signed form authorizes Princeton to cash the donor check and allows your account to benefit from the credit before it is received. Forms must be completed each academic year and can be dropped off or mailed to 701 Carnegie Center, Suite 161 Princeton, NJ 08540. Complete the form even if you have confirmed that the scholarship donor has mailed the checked.

4.)
Why do I see a charge for the Student Health Plan on the bill?

All students must be covered for off-campus health care. Those that do not reply to the Waiver/Enrollment forms mailed by the University’s Health Services department will be automatically enrolled in Princeton’s Student Health Plan. Changes to enrollment status are authorized by the Health Services department. Student Health Plan questions should be emailed to shpo@princeton.edu or visit their site at http://www.princeton.edu/puhs/ for additional information.

5.)
Why do I see a charge for the Transcript Fee on the bill?

Rather than charge a per-transcript fee, the University now charges all freshman a one-time fee. There will be no additional charges for transcript requests now, or after graduation.

6.) When can I claim my student account credit?

Credits may be reflected on your statement; however, credits cannot be processed until after the start of the term for which the credit applies. In addition, credits for outside Stafford Loans cannot be processed until Princeton receives the loan proceeds from the lender. All credit request instructions must be submitted by the student. Students can email instructions using the Credit Request Form.

7.) Can you provide a Verification/Certification of Enrollment?

Enrollment certifications are issued by the Registrar’s Office, 101 West College Hall 609/258-3360. Click Here to go to their website.
