The
University has consolidated a variety of student and employee health, disability,
safety, and insurance support functions in the Office of Risk Management
(ORM). The departmental objectives are to systematically and effectively
identify, review, prioritize, and address health, safety, and insurance
issues that arise from the University's teaching, research, and support
operations. A coordinated approach to safety, health, disability management,
and property loss prevention strengthens the University's ability to conduct
prudent risk assessments and to make informed decisions from an institutional
perspective.
The Office of
Risk Management is responsible for all risk management and insurance functions,
and the financial management of the University's employee health plans,
disability plans and the Student Health Plan.
