TigerTracks/UCAN: 2 Great Ways to Search for Internships

Career Services offers two sources of internship postings for Princeton students:

  • TigerTracks is Princeton's own online system, maintained by Career Services staff with current postings of internships. TigerTracks includes many postings by alumni and is the system used for on-campus recruiting.
  • UCAN is a consortium of 20 highly selective private colleges and universities that was founded in 1996 to share internship listings.  The UCAN Internship Exchange is a dynamic database listing thousands of domestic and international internships, fellowships and other short-term opportunities, making it one of the most comprehensive internship resources on the Internet.  The database is searchable by job function, industry and geographic location.

With each system, you can search for both summer and schoolyear internships from a range of industries and geographic locations. Be sure to use the Tip Sheet for Creating Effective Searches on TigerTracks/UCAN once you've logged in.

How to Log in to TigerTracks
  • An account is waiting for you in TigerTracks. Your username is your Princeton email address.
  • The first time you login, you will need to click on Forgot My Password in order to receive your password. The system will send you an email with your unique password. We encourage you to change your password after your initial login.
  • Complete your “Profile” and you can opt to have targeted emails sent to you announcing internships based on your interests.

How to Log in to UCAN
  • For UCAN, you must establish your own account, so make sure to do this in advance of when you’d like to begin searching. The procedure is as follows:
    1. Go to the login page and “Register for a new account” using your Princeton email address.
    2. Verify your email address through the link provided in the automated email message you will receive.
    3. You will receive another email message with a randomly generated password (please allow 1 full business day to receive this password). We encourage you to change your password after your initial login
