International Service Initiative Call for
Summer
Project Proposals
The
International Service Initiative (ISI), a program funded by a
combined grant from the Pace Center for Community Service and the
Office of Religious Life, invites Princeton University first, second
and third year undergraduates to propose summer projects abroad,
with a major emphasis on service and cross-cultural and/or
interfaith understanding. Funding is available for projects lasting
8–12 weeks. All students applying must fill out the standard
IIP (International Internship Program) Funding Application Form;
however, proposals for the ISI internships must be approved by
representatives from the Pace Center and the Office of Religious
Life.
The purpose of
this grant is to permit students to spend an extended time immersed
in another culture and/or religious setting, with proper preparation
and disciplined reflection. The objective of the internship
initiative is to encourage cross-cultural and/or interfaith
understanding and respect, and preference will be given to proposals
that clearly serve this goal.
Interested
students are invited to apply for funding using the application
available at: http://www.princeton.edu/~iip/forms/applications.shtml
