How much do copies cost?
Copies made on academic/administrative copies (no readers)
for university work purposes are $.06 each.
Copies made on public access copiers, all of which have
readers, are charged at $.10 each. Departments may purchase pre-valued and
departmental debit copy cards, using project grants, at a discounted rate.
What is a departmental Debit copy card?
Departments may purchase a card which keeps track of copies
made on a monthly basis. The card starts at a 1000 point value, then debits one
point for each copy made. At the end of each month, the Blackboard system
records the points on the card. So if at the end of one month the card point
value is at 350, the card has been debited 650 – which means the department will
be billed for 650 copies. The card is then set back to 1000 and the process
starts again for the new month.
Is there a charge for each copy card?
Yes, there is a $1 surcharge for all generic cards which includes the pre-valued and
departmental copy card, as well as the VTS cards sold at the Value Transfer Station
(VTS).
Do the public access copiers take coins?
Several of the Firestone Library and all of the branch
library copiers may be operated with coins. In addition, several copiers have
credit card readers. Please refer to the list at Public Access Copier
Locations.
May value be added to a
pre-valued card by using the web order form?
No. The only way to add value to a card is by using cash at the Value Transfer
Station in Firestone Library.
