Admission to the Program in European Cultural Studies

Students from any of Princeton's established departments may apply to take a certificate in European Cultural Studies. Those who do so normally enjoy trying interdisciplinary approaches to the interpretation European culture, from novels and paintings to cityscapes and land-use patterns. Most of them read one or more European languages comfortably. To join the program students should submit a formal application in the spring term of their sophomore year and plan to take either the Humanistic Studies 216-219 sequence or European Cultural Studies 209.
