Waste Disposal

Princeton University is committed to managing operations in an environmentally sensitive and responsible manner and to demonstrating safety and environmental leadership by maintaining high standards and serving as an example for our community.

All faculty, staff, students and visitors are expected to dispose of their laboratory wastes according to the established procedures, which may be accessed through the following links:

Anyone generating hazardous waste must consider ways to minimize the amount of waste generated by reducing the scale, substituting with less hazardous substances, reusing or recycling. See Environmental Issues for more information.
