Welcome to the Test Section of the Animal Workers
Training
Now
that you have completed the Animal Worker Training Module, you
may finish this training activity by proceeding to the Test Section.
The Test Section provides you the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding
of the health and safety information presented in the training
module you have just completed.
Source of Test Questions and Format
The questions for the Test are taken directly from the Animal Worker
Training Module. The test consists of 20 multiple choice questions
and is designed so that you must choose the correct answer before you
are allowed to move to
the next question. If you answer a question incorrectly, the computer
screen will direct you to the portion of the Training Module which addresses
the correct
answer. You may then use the ‘Back’ key at the top of the computer
screen to return to the question and select
the correct answer. When you have chosen the correct answer, a message
will indicate a correct response and you may then click on "Go
to Next Question" to proceed.
Quitting the Test
At any point you may quit the test, but you will not be able to save
the work you have done up to that point. If you quit the test
before completing it and return later, you will need to start the test
again from
the first question.
Submitting the Test Results
When you reach the end of the test, you will be prompted to complete
a form online with your name, department, email address, etc. and submit
it electronically
to EHS. This will complete your test registration.
After the Test (Medical Review with Employee Health)
After finishing the test, you will be directed to the information
and forms needed to complete your entry into the Animal Worker Program.
These include the following steps:
- Arrange an appointment for medical review with Employee Health at
258-5035.
- Complete section A of the Animal Worker Personnel Information
Form and the Health History Form.
- Take the completed forms to your appointment with Employee Health.
- Return the signed Personnel Information Form to the Animal Facility Manager
in Psychology, Molecular Biology, or EEB
depending
on your department.
- Subsequently, inform Employee Health of any change in your immune
status due to illness or medical treatment, pregnancy, or exposure
to live virus injury
or accident.
A Navigational Reminder
Please remember: if you answer a question incorrectly, you will be given
the opportunity to go back to the Training Module to review the
information. To return to the test, you should click on the ‘Back’ button
at the top of your browser toolbar.
