Solvent Fire Demonstration

Many laboratories collect spent solvents and other flammable liquids into 5-gallon carboys. This demonstration, conducted by Princeton University EHS, Public Safety and the Princeton Fire Department, is intended to demonstrate the intensity of a fire involving just half that amount and how difficult and dangerous it is to extinguish such a fire.

The same video is available in two formats:

Fire Video - for Quicktime (Better quality - If it does not automatically play, download and save it, open it in Quicktime - you may need to change the options to see All Files, not just movie files. It will be FrickFireDemo.m4v)

Fire Video - for RealPlayer
