A Princeton University Portal can potentially gather and organize data and applications from across the University Community, and present the information in a user-customizable browser-based interface. The Princeton MetaPortal Project is charged with the task of evaluating commercial and collaborative portal systems for considered use in the deployment of a Princeton University Portal offering. The Web Services Group's ultimate goal is to deploy a Portal System at the www.princeton.edu entry point.
