Unix Printing and Faxing Service (Printserver/Faxserver)
CIT provides a centralized printing and faxing service, and Enterprise Systems Management is in the process of moving this service to a new hardware and software platform. In December, 1999, the component of the fax server that manages the actual transmission of faxes was moved to the Dazel output managment system. In July 18, 2001, the printserver central Unix printing service was moved to a new platform, and in July 2002, the Campus Fax Gateway was also be moved, completing the replacement of the old printserver/faxserver system.For more information about the move of printserver, see the New Printserver Installed announcement.
