| GÖRAN BLIX (PH.D., Columbia U.) is an Assistant Professor of French, and specializes in literature and cultural history of 19th -century France. His research interests center on the poetics of historiography, narratives of archeology, the social uses of memory, and the formation of national identity. He has published papers on Zola, Balzac, and Michelet, and is currently preparing a book based on his dissertation, which analyzed the 19th -century reception of Pompeii. |
