| SARA TEARDO (Laurea summa cum laude, University of Venice) is a Full Time lecturer of Italian and a PhD candidate at Rutgers University. Her dissertation "Looking out the Window: Italian Women Writers in the Fifties and Sixties Enacting the Modern Cityscape" investigates the relation between Italian novels of the mid twentieth century and the socioeconomic and cultural changes that Italy underwent at that time, with a particular focus on women’s emancipation issues. Before coming to Princeton, she taught at Colgate University and Rutgers University. Her teaching and research interests focus on the literature and culture of the Twentieth Century as well as on women writing. |
