| FIORENZA WEINAPPLE (Ph.D., New York U.), is a Senior Lecturer in Italian specializing in literature of the Renaissance, history of the Italian language, and methodology of language teaching. She has published a monograph on the history of Italian language in the Renaissance (La Clisi nel linguaggio comico del Cinquecento, in Studi di Grammatica Italiana), and articles on Bembo, Aretino, Della Casa, Castiglione, and Pascoli. Her book Il filo di Arianna: La clisi attraverso il linguaggio di pulci, Bolardo e Ariosto (a study of the language of chivalric poetry in the Renaissance) was published by Bulzoni Editore (Rome) in the Spring of 1996. |
