Rationale:

Students spend most of their time chatting online while at school. They chat while doing homework, talking on the phone, watching television, eating... Whatever they are doing, they probably have a chat client available with their buddy list! This presentation will show you two approaches we are developing to provide services to students via instant messaging:

1 - IM Channel     - User's will be able to join groups based on enrolled classes,      and also talk to their buddies from other IM clients such      as AOL, MSN, ICQ,.... All within the portal framework.

2 - UDelBuddy     - IM clients delivering uPortal content.
