Mathey College Chamber Music

Why should students get involved in a Chamber Music Group?
It's a chance to interact with others, make new friends, and to play music for fun (and get paid to play gigs at Mathey events)!

Note: We are looking for pianists!
Please contact: Natalie Kostinski nkostins@princeton.edu

Who is eligible to join?
Anyone who plays an orchestral instrument/piano is eligible to join the Chamber Music Group. Chamber music experience is not required, but helpful. At the beginning of each semester, Natalie will try to group students into small ensembles with a performance venue in mind.
These groups could be pre-existing, or she will group them based on chamber music experience and preference for a group (string quartet vs. piano trio for example).
If you want to be placed in a group, please email Natalie (nkostins@princeton.edu). Or, if you prefer to perform solo (at Mathey events), that is an option too. Again, simply email Natalie Kostinski.
Once the groups are formed, it is up to the students to create a practice schedule. Rehearsals at Mathey are possible: the Common Room space is especially nice for rehearsals.

Some Chamber Music History:
So far, Mathey, Wilson, Forbes, and graduate students have been involved with Mathey Chamber Music.

In the past, the groups have performed at Mathey Events including:
---
Several Wine and Cheese Events for Upperclassmen, Fellows etc.
---College Night
---Opening Night for PHoto Exhibit
---Chamber Music Recital

And non-Mathey Events:
--- Upcoming Graduate Formal at the Graduate College
