Miki
Mendelsohn, English Language Program Coordinator
Miki Mendelsohn has been working with non-native speakers of English at Princeton
for over ten years, serving first as the coordinator of the English as a Second Language
(ESL) Program and then becoming the coordinator of the English Language Program
in 1999. She received training as an ESL instructor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem
and then taught elsewhere in Israel for two years. After returning to the U.S., Miki
received her M.Ed. in ESL from the University of Miami, and then taught at Barry University
and Rutgers University before coming to Princeton.
Susan
Greene, English Language Program Testing Coordinator
After receiving her M.Ed. from the College of New Jersey, Susan Greene taught
in the Program of American Language Studies at Rutgers University. In addition to her
work at Rutgers, she has developed and implemented on-site English language programs
in a variety of workplaces, including Sodexho Management Services at Bristol-Myers
Squibb and St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
Barbara
Thompson, English Language Program Undergraduate Coordinator
Barbara Thompson joined the McGraw Center staff in September 2000. Prior to this
appointment, she taught ESL at Rutgers University for 5 years. After completing
her Graduate Diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, Barbara was the Head Teacher
of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) at Miller College in Australia.
Ellen Anagbo, English Language Program Instructor
Ellen Anagbo earned her MAT (English) degree and New Jersey State Teacher of English and Teacher of English as a Second Language certificates at The College of New Jersey. For the past fifteen years she has been teaching English to non-native speakers in business and industry and at Mercer County Community College . Ellen joined the staff of the McGraw Center in 2004.
Barbara Schroeder Jensen, English Language Program Instructor
Barbara Schroeder Jensen earned her MATESL degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana . Before coming to Princeton , Barbara was the Coordinator of the International Teaching Assistant Testing and Training Program at the University of Pennsylvania . She is currently the Chair of the International Teaching Assistant Interest Section of TESOL International. Barbara joined the staff of the McGraw Center in 2004.
Wanda Holovacs, Office Assistant
Wanda Holovacs has been part of the McGraw Center staff since its inception.
Prior to that, she worked at various locations on campus, including the facilities
and mathematics departments. Before coming to Princeton, Wanda worked for Educational
Testing Service for 6 years in the department of SAT Services for Students with Disabilities.
