Essay Questions for Returning Adviser Applicants

Please note:  These questions are provided here so you can begin crafting your answers.  You must ultimately enter your answers into the online application form.

Essay answers need not be more than a paragraph or two in length. Please address all questions in your essay.

1.  Please describe your experiences as an adviser this year, and why you wish to be reappointed.
   
   
2. Based on your experience as an adviser so far, what could the University and your college have done better to prepare and/or support you in your responsibilities?



3. If you are reappointed, how will you manage the duties of advising with the academic and other obligations you will have as a senior?  Please provide a rough sketch of the scholarly work and extracurricular activities in which you expect to participate next year.



4. Please describe a situation you have encountered as an adviser that, in retrospect, you think you could have handled better.  What would you do differently?
