Applications Due Tuesday, November 30th, 2010, at 4:30 P.M.
We are delighted that you are interested in serving as an RCA in one of the six residential colleges. We invite you to review the information below. We hope you will then proceed to submit an application to serve as an adviser.
All applications must be submitted by Tuesday, November 30th, 2010, at 4:30 P.M. Please note that your two recommendations are also due by this date.
Submission of an application does not guarantee an interview. In determining whether an interview will be offered, the college will consider factors including (but not limited to) the candidate’s demonstrated interest in and aptitude for the RCA position, commitment to and involvement in the campus community, academic record, and disciplinary standing.
Advisers are of critical importance to the Princeton experience. The position is one of great responsibility, and the work is both challenging and rewarding. Before continuing with the application, please read through the Adviser information to acquaint yourself with the general responsibilities of advisers and the specific character of the different advising positions. You also may wish to review answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
There are two sections to this application, and you must complete Section One in its entirety before proceeding to Section Two. Section One asks for your contact information. Section Two asks for your college and position preferences, as well as for your thoughtful response to several essay questions. While we make an effort to match applicants with their college preferences, we can't make any guarantees. With regard to the essay questions, we recommend that you compose your short responses with a word processor, and then cut and paste your final answer into the online application.
All new applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, which are due in the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students no later than Tuesday, November 30th, 2010, at 4:30 p.m.
Returning advisers need not submit recommendations.
The written recommendation form (PDF or Word) is available for download. Please send it to your two recommenders and keep a hard copy of the form for your file as well.
