Enterprise Infrastructure Services

The staff members of Enterprise Infrastructure Services deploy and maintain information technology products and services ranging from servers and backup systems to e-mail, web, directory, database, and data center services. We also are called into action to work with colleagues on many information technology projects, particularly in the area of information security policies and practices.

As we work to support the University’s mission of research and teaching, we are guided by four goals. Together, we:

• provide an array of infrastructure and services to help the University community gain the most value from its investment in information technology,
• protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of University information and systems to reduce the risks of security breaches and unauthorized access,
• support the University’s need for timely and flexible infrastructure services, and
• advise departments and individuals about technology and security best practices.

In meeting each of these goals, we strive to:

• implement effective and risk-appropriate solutions,
• see beyond the horizon, anticipating the challenges ahead, and
• foster collaboration and collegiality among EIS staff members and others within OIT and the University.
