Program Locations
Participants in a Princeton-Blairstown Center (PBC) program may find themselves backpacking the Appalachian Trail in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, bicycling from Harper’s Ferry, WV to Washington, D.C., kayaking in the wetlands surrounding the skyscrapers of Newark, NJ, or producing a video in the media labs of Princeton University. The power and magic of PBC can happen almost anywhere!
The heart of PBC, however, is found in a very special natural place in the rolling hills and valleys of northwestern New Jersey. There, near the small historic village of Blairstown is an unusually beautiful 275 acres of forest, lake, streams, waterfalls, trails, and wildlife. Many of our programs take place on-site at the Princeton-Blairstown Center, still known to many of the locals as the “Princeton Summer Camp” from its first usage in the 1930s.
Nearby is the 77,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area, 37,000 acres of state parks and forests, and access to the Appalachian Trail.
Facilities at the Blairstown Campus include,
- Egner Lodge, a multi-purpose dining and program building, built in 1993 in classic log style
- Hunt Lodge, containing additional classroom and meeting space and a small dining hall
- 11 winterized log cabins, sleeping up to 12 persons
- A new and fully accessible heated wash/shower bath house
- Several other special purpose buildings
