Sustainability
Julie Newman, Director of the Office
of Sustainability at Yale University, gave a presentation
about the evolution of sustainability and the strategy for
institutionalizing sustainability at Yale. Julie also
discussed:
• How sustainability results will be
achieved at Yale (i.e., green fund/grassroots initiatives,
independent initiatives, ad hoc committees)
• How sustainability progress will be
measured
• The Northeast Campus Sustainability
Coalition, - a regional commitment to the UN Decade of
Education for Sustainable Development, 2005-2014
Developing a Sustainability
Director/Coordinator position at Princeton and funding the
position will be discussed at the fall PEOC meeting.
