Thomas Kelly, Ph.D., Harvard 2001, joins the faculty in Fall 2004. Previously he was a Junior Fellow in the Harvard Society of Fellows and taught at the University of Notre Dame. His research interests lie primarily within epistemology and the theory of rationality. Present interests include the relationship between theoretical and practical rationality, the epistemological significance of persistent disagreement, and the extent to which one’s starting point constrains the kinds of revisions in one’s views that philosophical argument might legitimately inspire.
