The ResNet 2004 Annual Symposium has focus
that is both comprehensive and interdisciplinary, and explores the current state
of the art and at the same time helps to shape future uses of information and
technology in residential computing. This breadth is demonstrated by the five
principal presentation tracks in the 2004 Annual Symposium: IT Management Living, Learning, and Technology |
|
Exhibiting |
At the ResNet 2004 Annual Symposium, you will have the rare opportunity to
market to an audience that is comprised both of today’s practioners in
residential information technology systems, and those who are at the forefront

Announcing Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities |
ResNet provides a variety of sponsorship opportunities in addition to exhibiting. Sponsorships range from conference tote bags, to the Internet Message Center and other technology support, to a variety of food and beverage functions such as the Opening Dinner, a first time attendees continental breakfast, and coffee breaks. Sponsors receive special recognition in Symposium programs, in special signage and announcements at the meeting, and in post-meeting reports, as well as in sponsorship mention on the ResNet web site that receives many visits per week. This Exhibitor Prospectus web site contains a special web page outlining sponsorship opportunities in greater detail. See http://www.princeton.edu/resnet/corpsponsor.htm for more information. Sponsorships are a way to further place your company’s name in front of the Residential technology provider community as supporters of the association and its efforts to advance residential services through information technology. |

About the ResNet Symposium |
With the desire to accentuate the living-learning experience at academic institutions, many colleges and universities are delivering high-capacity computing and networking technology directly to students' residential living spaces. These technologies include in-room networking, residence-based computing clusters, multimedia, and distance learning. Associated with these technologies are support issues and information security concerns. Past Hosts of the ResNet Symposium: 2004: Princeton University Participants in the ResNet Symposium come from academic institutions at many different levels of residential technologies -- some schools may have had their networks in place and are asking "What's next?" while other schools may be just starting out. This mix of experience augments the information-sharing which occurs through presentations, panel discussions, roundtable conversations, and often simply through the casual and social atmosphere of the conference. Several presentation tracks are offered, allowing participants to either focus directly on their own concerns, or to get a taste of different ideas and programs. The ResNet Symposium is the only conference of its kind which deals exclusively with residential networking technologies within academic institutions. The conference is always held at a college or university, and most participants choose to stay in a residence hall. The conference is also traditionally casual, as we recognize that a lot of the information-sharing occurs during friendly conversations and social events. Finally, the ResNet Symposium offers a unique opportunity for companies to showcase the different technologies and services which they can offer to academic institutions. One afternoon is reserved for a Vendor Fair with dozens of companies represented. A concurrent Vendor Track allows several popular companies to give their own presentations on their services and products. Companies can simply represent themselves at the vendor fair, or take a more active role in the conference by sponsoring a meal, special event, or other type of product or service. Potential sponsors are invited to contact the current host. |
