Dear Member of the Class of
2007,
Because we believe that high-risk drinking affects interpersonal,
social, and residential life at Princeton in many important
ways, we ask that you take a moment to review the following
information.
As an entering Princeton student, you are expected to complete
the AlcoholEdu program, an online, science-based course, before
you arrive on campus. AlcoholEdu provides detailed information
about alcohol and its effects on the body and mind. The goal
of the course is to help you to make well-informed decisions
about alcohol and to help you cope with the drinking behavior
of your peers.
AlcoholEdu takes approximately two hours to complete, and
we recommend that you complete it in more than one sitting.
After completing the course, we ask you to consider talking
with your parents or guardians about AlcoholEdu and to discuss
how you will handle situations involving alcohol while at
Princeton.
You can access the course online any time after July 15,
2003. You will need to complete the main portion of the
course (through the final exam and post survey) by September
5 and the follow-up survey by December 5. All you need to
take the course is a Windows PC or Macintosh computer with
an Internet connection. If you do not have access to a computer
at home, you can use any publicly available computer with
Internet access. The information that you will need to access
AlcoholEdu is as follows:
- Go to: www.alcoholedu.com
- As a New User, for the School ID enter: prer2672pu4
- Click "Sign Up"
After entering this information, you can create a new user
account with your e-mail address and a password. Upon future
visits to the website, you will enter as a returning user
and enter the user ID and password you have chosen.
Should you experience any difficulties or require additional
support, you may go to the AlcoholEdu FAQ page by clicking
"Help" or e-mail your questions to help@outsidetheclassroom.com.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
Sincerely, |
