What are the performing arts opportunities on campus?

Dance, music, drama, comedy, jazz, a cappella singing and other groups provide a wide range of opportunities for student performers. The University has a rich offering of academic programs in the performing arts, as well as a thriving student-led performing arts community.

Are there student tickets for performing arts and athletic events?

At the beginning of each year, students receive a packet of tickets that gives free access to arts activities across the campus, known as "Passport to the Arts." Also, the Athletics Department provides free student tickets to events on campus and to selected events off campus.

What else do students do in Princeton?

The Borough of Princeton offers a variety of shopping and dining options for students and faculty. Of course, the town provides the necessities like the U.S. Post Office, banks, barbers and hair salons, too. New Jersey Transit provides bus service to Quakerbridge Mall, a large shopping center just a few miles south of campus (there are many other shopping centers nearby as well). Are there jobs for students on campus?

Yes, there are numerous opportunities for students to work at the University in various offices and academic departments. Major student employers include Dining Services, Princeton University Library, Frist Campus Center and Student Agencies. Visit the Student Employment Office for more information.

How can I find out more about Princeton's traditions and history?

Where do I go if I'm not feeling well?

University Health Services is located in McCosh Health Center, and provides a full range of health and wellness services. UHS publishes a helpful and handy guide to student health services called On Campus Care (.pdf format).

May I purchase a computer on campus (at a discount)?

Thankfully, yes! The Student Computer Initiative (SCI) provides Princeton students with aggressively priced, highly capable computers to facilitate academic work. The program is open to all Princeton students with special pricing for first-year undergraduates.
