Information for New Graduate Students 2009 - 2010
Decisions regarding accepting
Princeton's offer of admission are to be returned to Graduate Admissions
by April 15. At this time, you will also return the Application for a Certificate of Visa Eligibility (mailed to you
with your admission packet) to the Office of Visa Services. After your
academic department confirms your program start date, the Office
of Visa Services will issue your visa eligibility document (I-20 or DS-2019). Documents will be mailed (via regular airmail) to students beginning in early
May to mid June. Priority mail would need to be arranged with the
academic department. Please do not make individual inquiries about your
document before June 1.
General information about visa applications, arrival in
Princeton can be found in the Guide for New International Graduate Students.
If you will be transferring your visa status to Princeton from another
institution in the U.S., please see our transfer form. The international advisor at your current institution
