Quin Morton Teaching Fellows, Princeton Writing Program, Spring 2010

Princeton graduate students with teaching experience who are in Dissertation Completion Enrollment (DCE) status in 2009-10 are invited to apply for one-semester positions as Quin Morton Teaching Fellows. Quin Morton Teaching Fellows teach one topic-based Writing Seminar of their own design and participate in an intensive faculty development program, which includes meetings and workshops on seminar design and writing pedagogy. Teaching Fellows are paid at the current salary for half-time lecturers without the Ph.D. ($12,725 for one course), receive full DCE tuition and Student Health Plan coverage, and enjoy all the benefits of fully enrolled graduate students.

The period of appointment is February 1 through June 30, 2010; however, all new faculty must attend day-long workshops January 20-21, 2010, and be accessible during the first week of January to develop their Writing Seminars in consultation with the Writing Program directors. Several other meetings throughout the semester are also required.

Please note: To be eligible for a Quin Morton Teaching Fellow position, you must be in Dissertation Completion Enrollment (DCE) status in 2009-10. All Quin Morton Teaching Fellow appointments are subject to departmental endorsement and to review and approval by the Graduate School. Please also note: If you defend your dissertation before February 1, 2010, you are not eligible to be a Quin Morton Teaching Fellow.

Spring 2010 Quin Morton Teaching Fellows will be eligible to apply for an extension of the Fellowship for the 2010-11 academic year if they are recommended for another year of DCE status on academic grounds.
